FAQ
Why HTML and not just plain text?
Plain-text signatures lose the logo and the visual brand. HTML signatures with a hosted logo (loaded from benefitra.com) render cleanly across Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and on mobile. The generator outputs table-based HTML with inline styles — the format every major email client renders consistently. The “Copy plain text” button is there as a fallback for clients that strip HTML.
Will my signature break in Outlook?
Outlook (especially desktop on Windows) is the strictest renderer in email. The generator avoids the patterns Outlook breaks on — no CSS Grid, no flexbox, no SVG, no web fonts. It uses tables and Arial/Helvetica so the layout holds. Test once on the target Outlook version after you install it; if you see weird spacing, paste the HTML source from the “View raw HTML source” panel directly via Outlook's Edit Signature dialog instead of pasting the rendered preview.
Is the logo loaded from benefitra.com or embedded?
Loaded from benefitra.com (specifically
/assets/brand/[email protected]). That keeps the signature lightweight (no base64 bloat) and lets us push design updates to the logo without anyone re-installing their signature. The trade-off: recipients with images blocked won't see the logo. Most modern clients show images by default; outliers will see just the text portion of the signature, which is still on-brand.
Should I include my NPN?
If you're a licensed producer, including your NPN in the compliance footer is good practice — some states require it on business correspondence, and clients/auditors appreciate having it visible. If you're not a licensed producer (HR, ops, marketing, engineering), leave it blank and the generator omits the line.
Can I customize the colors or layout?
You can pick between Ocean green, Navy, and Minimal slate at the bottom of the form — those are the three on-brand options. For anything beyond that, edit the raw HTML in the “View raw HTML source” panel and paste your edits into your email client's signature editor. Bigger changes (custom layouts, multi-signature templates for specific roles) — ping Juan or Sam and we'll roll it into the generator.
What about a signature for non-Benefitra-branded sends?
This generator outputs Benefitra-branded signatures only. If you need a Newland Group Insurance LLC signature for non-Benefitra correspondence, or a Benefitra DBA Roofing signature for /roofing/ marketing, ping the mesh and we'll add a brand selector.
Need a different on-brand asset?
Letterhead, business card, pitch deck cover, email banner — we generate them. Ping Juan in #operations or open a request and we'll add it to the tools library.
